RIU Diabetes Performance & Metabolic Health Program

RIU Diabetes Performance & Metabolic Health Program The RIU Diabetes Performance & Metabolic Health Program is a comprehensive, evidence-based exercise physiology program designed to help individuals with Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, obesity, and metabolic syndrome improve their health through individualized exercise, lifestyle modification, and clinical performance monitoring. Developed and supervised by an Exercise Physiologist, this program combines scientific assessment, personalized exercise prescription, and ongoing professional coaching to safely improve blood glucose management, cardiovascular health, physical function, and overall quality of life.

Each participant begins with a comprehensive physiological assessment to evaluate cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, body composition, mobility, balance, and functional movement. Using this information, an individualized exercise program is developed based on current clinical guidelines and each client’s medical history, fitness level, medications, and personal goals. Throughout the program, exercise intensity and progression are continuously monitored to maximize safety, improve metabolic control, and produce measurable health outcomes.

The RIU Diabetes Performance & Metabolic Health Program emphasizes sustainable lifestyle change rather than temporary solutions. Clients receive expert guidance in exercise, physical activity, healthy lifestyle behaviors, weight management, recovery strategies, and long-term disease prevention while receiving ongoing accountability and progress monitoring. Whether your goal is lowering HbA1c, reducing body fat, improving cardiovascular fitness, increasing strength, or preventing diabetes-related complications, this program provides the clinical expertise and individualized support needed to achieve lasting results.
